Class of 2008 alumna Marie El-Khazen returned to FHS to speak to Sixth Form pupils, alongside Wetherby Senior School Sixth Formers, about communication styles and how to ‘be your best self’. Today, Marie focused on teaching communication and learning styles, which involved watching a short film and participating in group work, before advising pupils on how best to perform in interviews and out in the wider world of work.

After graduating from Leeds University with a music degree, Marie studied an MSc in Positive Coaching Psychology, and following a career in Advertising, now works as a Performance Coach. Having spoken to FHS pupils previously, alumna Marie was happy to return to her former school. “I really enjoyed my years as a pupil here at Regent’s Park. My time at Francis Holland helped me focus on achieving the things I set out to achieve and shaped the way I learned and applied myself at university. Being at an all-girls school was a really formative part of my education and gave me the confidence to go after things that really stretch me! It’s a pleasure to return to speak to the Sixth-Formers.”
