FHS Joint Concert at Marylebone Church

Both Francis Holland Schools took part in a joint concert at Marylebone Church, on the Regent's Park school's 142nd birthday
On Thursday 13th February, we joined together with Francis Holland Sloane Square for a joint concert in the beautiful St Marylebone Parish Church. Held on our 142nd Birthday, it was a wonderful occasion in memory of our founder, the Reverend Canon Francis Holland.

FHS Regent’s Park’s String Orchestra performed Vivaldi’s Concerto in G and as an extra treat, we heard a wonderful performance of Edward Grieg’s Holberg Suite by FHS Sloane Square. Exceptional cellists Saskia Teeger and Teresa De Oliveira Munoz De La Espada represented each school as they came together to perform Vivaldi’s Concerto in G for 2 cellos. We were also fortunate enough to be joined by world-renowned violinist and alumna Laure Chan, who left the school in 2011.

The choirs of both schools were incredible with their performance of John Rutter’s Requiem as a combined choir of almost 130 voices.

Thank you to our talented pupils, parents, staff and alumnae for joining us for a wonderful evening of music. A huge thank you to our Directors of Music Miss Una Murphy (FHS Regent's Park) and Miss Helen Vickery (FHS Sloane Square) for putting the evening together.
