Hi. I’m Clover Lewis. I left FHS in 1992 and work as a frontline worker in Australia as a Midwife in a busy hospital. Covid19 has bought us many challenges at work and we are still fine tuning aspects in relation to the birth and delivery of babies in this scary time.
I have three daughters who have been home-schooled for the last three weeks as we are at stage 3 of pandemic plan. No social gatherings, only leaving the house to exercise or visit the supermarket or the doctors. My daughters have become very artistic though!
Today is my birthday. Self-isolation is very hard on days like these. I’d love to go out for dinner but I will wait as nowhere is open.
I miss the UK and friends and family but very grateful I have a hubby who can work from home whilst I work in the hospital fearing though I may bring covid19 unknowingly home.
Great to be recognised on the frontline. We have a Facebook group called “ Adopt a HealthcareWorker NSW” which has provided much support.
