Quondam Writing Prize 2020 - new theme

In light of our current circumstances, pupils are now invited to enter the Quondam Writing Prize under the new theme: Covid-19.
The theme this year has been changed to "Covid-19". Pupils can explore how coronavirus has affected them (both emotionally and/or physically), their families, their day-to-day lives and their environment.

All current Francis Holland Regent's Park pupils are invited to enter either a poem, essay or piece of creative writing with a maximum word count of 1000 words. Consideration will be given not only to the quality of the writing, but also to spelling, grammar and punctuation. All entries must be a new piece of work, written especially for this competition; please note that no homework or coursework will be accepted.

The Quondam Committee will judge all entries and award £50 to the winner of the Junior and Senior categories:

• The Junior Prize is open to III, LIV and UIV forms

• The Senior Prize is open to LV, UV, LVI and UVI forms

HOW TO APPLY

The deadline for entries is Friday 8th May 2020. Please send all entries by email to alumni@fhs-nw1.org.uk with the subject line 'Quondam Writing Prize'. Any entry received later than the deadline date or not meeting the above requirements may be disqualified. An acknowledgement on receipt of the entry will be sent to the applicant by email.

Please include the following information within your entry:

• Full name

• Form

• Whether you are entering the Junior or Senior category

• Title of essay or poem

• Total number of words
