Quondam Writing Prize 2019

The Quondam Writing Prize 2019 is now open for all pupils to enter.
The theme this year is "AI: Artificial Intelligence". 

All current Francis Holland pupils are invited to enter either a poem, essay or piece of creative writing with a maximum word count of 1000 words. Consideration will be given not only to the quality of the writing, but also to spelling, grammar and punctuation. All entries must be a new piece of work, written especially for this competition; please note that no homework or coursework will be accepted.

The Quondam Committee will judge all entries and award £50 to the winner of the Junior and Senior categories:

• The Junior Prize is open to III, LIV and UIV forms

• The Senior Prize is open to LV, UV, LVI and UVI forms

HOW TO APPLY

The deadline for entries is Thursday 21st March 2019. Please send all entries by email to alumni@fhs-nw1.org.uk with the subject line 'Quondam Writing Prize'. Any entry received later than the deadline date or not meeting the above requirements may be disqualified. An acknowledgement on receipt of the entry will be sent to the applicant by email.

Please include the following information within your entry:

• Full name

• Form

• Whether you are entering the Junior or Senior category

• Title of essay or poem

• Total number of words
