The Class of 2019 celebrated the end of their A-Levels and final school days at the Leavers’ Prom, held this year on June 28th at the historical Stationers’ Hall, in the City of London.

In what transpired to be a beautifully warm and sunny evening, the girls (many of whom attended with their parents) celebrated their successes with a glass of champagne in the courtyard, provided courtesy of Quondam Alumni Association, before moving inside to a short ceremony in the Stock Room.

Welcomed by Mr Gridelli, Head Girl Mariam Mohammed presented a confident and composed speech, giving thanks to both her fellow peers and teachers alike, before Chair of Quondam Susanne Nedas toasted the girls’ futures. Senior Deputy Head Amelia Slocombe awarded the coveted FHS awards to the following deserved pupils:

Outstanding Contribution - Sylvia Empson
Parsonson Personal Progress Award - Lucie Rush
Polished Corner Cup - Olivia Muccio

Parents departing, the girls then quickly headed to the Livery Hall, where they danced away the rest of the evening. We wish all UVI leavers’ the very best of luck with their future studies.
