Quondam Writing Competition 2022

The theme for this year's Writing Competition is 'Clearing out'. Closing date for entries is Monday 9th May 2022.

All current Francis Holland pupils are invited to enter either a poem, an essay or a piece of creative writing with a maximum word count of 1000 words. The theme this year is 'Clearing Out'.

Consideration will be given not only to creativity and style, but also to spelling, grammar and punctuation. 
All entries must be a new piece of work, written especially for this competition; please note that no homework or coursework will be accepted.

The Quondam Committee will judge all entries and award a book token of £50 to the winners of the Junior and Senior categories:
• The Junior Prize is open to III, LIV and UIV forms
• The Senior Prize is open to LV, UV, LVI and UVI forms

HOW TO APPLY
The deadline for entries is Monday 9th May 2022. Please send all entries by email to Quondam@fhs-nw1.org.uk with the subject line 'Quondam Writing Competition'. 

THE following information MUST BE INCLUDED with your entry:
• Full name
• Form
• Whether you are entering the Junior or Senior category
• Title of essay or poem
• Total number of words

Any entry received later than the deadline date or not meeting the above requirements will be disqualified. An acknowledgement on receipt of the entry will be sent to the applicant by email.
