Alumna produces two plays at Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Class of 2021 alumna, Izzy Fisher Turner produces the plays Fire Signs and The Macbeth Inquiry

My name is Izzy Fisher Turner. I left Francis Holland last summer and have just finished my first year of university at Edinburgh. I am producing two plays, Fire Signs and The Macbeth Inquiry at this year's Edinburgh Fringe festival, represented by Bedlam Theatre and the Edinburgh Shakespeare Society. The past few months have been an incredible learning curve, whether its harking back to the early days of Excel to budget planning, writing press releases or designing advertising; FHS’s foundation has helped me through every step of the way.

Fire Signs is an originally written comedy play by emerging Scottish playwright, Lana Stone, which is a celebration of friendships formed between girls at a nineteen.

The Macbeth Inquiry is an original, collaboratively written play reimagining the Scottish narrative in our current climate ridden by dishonesty, deception and scandal and framed in an archaic, satirically absurd news programme inspired by Brass Eye. There’s no better time to see this play than now as it mirrors our own corridors of No.10!

Both plays are originally written Fringe debuts and are by first-time female writers and directors.

I would appreciate any support at all from the alumni community.
