On Friday 1st March, MUN Club were pleased to welcome FHS alumna Gillian Wake to talk about her career working in Communications and Human Rights.

Gillian shared her wisdom about working internationally and the importance of communication for bringing attention and funding to the work of the UNODC in Pakistan. Gillian shared some interesting insight into her work with broadcaster ITV on how Soap Operas can help to change societal behaviours on climate change. The girls were interested to learn her advice of taking risks and pursuing your interests, even if you’re not sure on where they will take you.

Overall it was an inspiring and engaging talk, and great to hear how Giliian's FHS experiences led her to such a fascinating international career.

With many thanks to Gillian for sharing her insights with MUN Club!
