Alumna Career Talk by Sophia Anderton

The Science Department hosted alumna Sophia Anderton on Wednesday 15th March.

The Science Department hosted alumna Sophia Anderton on Wednesday 15th March.

Sophia studied Chemistry at Durham University before working as a research scientist and an editor of chemistry journals. From there she moved on to the British Institute of Radiology as Head of Publishing and is now Chief Executive of BJU International. Sophia spoke about her passion for science and how a job advert paved the way to the career she is pursuing. She shared insight into the work of science and publishing and provided students with some examples of the publications she oversees. Her advice was to follow the subjects you like, work hard and things will fall into place.

With many thanks to Sophia for taking the time to enlighten current FHS pupils!
