Quondam Lunch: A Day of Celebration and Connection

On Saturday, 9 November, Quondam hosted a special Birthday Lunch at Francis Holland, Regent's Park. The event was a wonderful reunion attended by Headmistress and President of Quondam, Katharine Woodcock, Chairman Mrs. Susanne Nedas (née Quastel), and Treasurer Mrs. Benita Mathews (née Thomas), along with a delightful group of “Polished Corners.” Alumni from graduation years/classes spanning 1947 to 2024 reunited with former staff to celebrate, share memories, and reconnect.

The celebration began with a drinks reception, followed by the Annual General Meeting. Before lunch, President Katharine Woodcock delivered a heartfelt speech, setting the tone for the day. This was followed by a moving video presentation by past Head Girls Bon Eve Zeigherman and My-Anh Nguyen, class of 2024, who shared their reflections on the compassion, spirit, knowledge, and perseverance of Francis Holland Regent’s Park to mark the 146th school birthday. The President and Chairman of Quondam also took a moment to express their deep gratitude to Mrs. Benita Mathews for her exceptional service as Treasurer since 1976, acknowledging her dedication to the alumni community.

Following a grace led by Mrs. Benita Mathews, guests enjoyed a delicious seated lunch, a perfect setting for conversation and connection.

After the meal, guests were invited on a guided tour of the school, thoughtfully led by the Prefects Team of 2024-25, allowing alumni to reconnect with beloved spaces. A sincere thank you to everyone who attended and to those who generously contributed to the Quondam Sixth Form Scholarship Appeal. We look forward to celebrating with you again next year and continuing to strengthen the cherished connections within our community.
