Class of 2017 alumna Ruby MacGregor, above, was awarded the 2019 Quondam Travel Scholarship. Says Ruby, "Quondam Travel Scholarship seemed the perfect way to be able to do something incredible both for others and myself."

Ruby chose to volunteer as a teacher in Vietnam because, she says, "I felt it was the program that would suit me best, allowing me to make the biggest positive impact I could. Vietnam is a beautiful country but it is still reeling from the effects of the recent war, and so is in desperate need of volunteers in many areas."

Ruby was awarded £1,000 to finance her trip, which she says was inspired by "the amazing job teachers do. There were definitely a few teachers at FHS who were on my mind when I chose this program. Thank you Quondam!" Applications to alumni@fhs-nw1.org.uk
