Staff News
It is with great sadness that we write to inform you of the recent passing of two much-loved and longstanding alumni of Francis Holland: Elizabeth Sifleet and Elaine Kelly/Waterhouse. Both were integral to the school community as staff and later as active Quondam members, and so we are sure many of you will have known one or both of these ladies.

Elizabeth was born in 1929, joined Francis Holland in 1965 and worked as Deputy Headmistress until 1983. She is well remembered for insprinig many girls to excel in mathematics.

Elaine joined Francis Holland in 1985 for 22 years, leaving in 2007. She worked as an ever-smiling librarian and also provided much-needed careers support and advice to girls.
