Carol Services 2020

School News

Last week we held a series of magical Carol Services at St Cyprian’s Church, led by Father Michael Fuller. Each year group produced a talented group of singers and instrumentalists and were joined by a magical harp and quartet of professional singers.

Throughout the services, Headmaster, Mr Fillingham and pupils read some thoughtful readings as well as some moving prayers. We heard from three fantastic soloists, Olivia A, Jasmin M, and Milly W who sang That Younge Childe, from Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, accompanied by the harp: a piece that is quite different in mood to the other Christmas music. At the end of the service, girls and musicians came together for the atmospheric, Night of Silence.
