FHS Student Inaugurated as a Chorister at St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey

On Sunday 1st October, FHS student Taya A (III) was officially inaugurated as one of the girl choristers of St Margaret's Church.

On Sunday 1st October, FHS student Taya A (III) was officially inaugurated as one of the girl choristers of St Margaret’s Church. In doing so, she became the first ever Francis Holland, Regent’s Park student to sing in the historic precincts of Westminster Abbey. This new choir is formed of only 20 girls from across the capital, and for Taya to be selected to join the cohort is a phenomenal achievement.

Headmistress, Mrs Woodcock, attended the choristers’ first Sung Eucharist service and inauguration. She commented that ‘she is incredibly proud to have been present to hear the first chorister from FHS Regent’s Park to sing in the precincts of Westminster Abbey’ which was ‘such a special moment; not just for FHS, but also for Taya and her family’.

Huge well done, Taya!
