Last night we enjoyed an uplifting Spring & Leavers’ Concert in St Cyprian’s Church.
Ensemble performances ranged from the clarinet group’s debut performance to the Lower School’s piano trio. Vivaldi’s Concerto for 4 violins resonated around the church, performed by very fine soloists Dominique P, Inez D, Eloise M& Camille H. Other string solo performances included Hermione’s moving performance of Saint-Saëns’ Allegro Appassionato and Adianne G-S’s impressive performance of Allegro Moderato from a sonata by Haydn. Daisy Q’s dexterous finger work was evident in her performance of the 1st movement of Beethoven’s Pathétique Sonata. Solo singers included Hero L, Sienna M & Leah W-L and UVI leavers, Venice G-H, Katya E & Jess S. Orchestra and choirs performed with musicality.
Well done to all!
Ms Murphy, Director of Music
