Friends, colleagues and alumnae gathered in the Hall this week to celebrate the significant contributions of teachers Jane Orr and Nicky Foy to Francis Holland, Regent’s Park.
Nicky Foy, who left Francis Holland last year to work on family projects, returned to celebrate her incredible 24 years service. An eco champion in her own right, Nicky Foy spearheaded the Eco Society at FHS and it was lovely to welcome her back to catch up on her last year.
Jane Orr joined Francis Holland in 1990 and has been a steadfast and inspiring presence in the art department ever since. Jane’s former pupils and colleagues joined us for a special presentation and speech where Jane reminisced on her time here, remembering the summer of 1995 when the basement was excavated to build the swimming pool to handwriting all school reports(!). Many alumnae remember Miss Orr with deep appreciation and a highlights video of messages from pupils and staff, past and present, entertained the whole room. Jane thanked the School and the many pupils she has taught over her momentous 34 years, her colleagues and her own family for their unwavering support.
We wish Nicky and Jane well in the next stages of their lives and thank them for all they have done for Francis Holland.
