On Thursday 27th June, we were joined by our wonderful Class of 2024 cohort and their parents for a memorable evening, marking the end of a chapter as they prepare to leave FHS and embark on new and exciting adventures.

The evening began with a heartfelt speech from the Head, Mrs Woodcock, who praised the girls for their remarkable impact on FHS. Susanne Nedas, Chair of Quondam, then welcomed the girls as lifelong members of our treasured Alumni Association, introducing them to the motto, “Once a Polished Corner, always a Polished Corner.” Acting Head of Sixth Form, Mrs. Williams, expressed her gratitude to the Class of 2024 for making her first year in the role so enjoyable. We then heard from Head Girl, Issy, who reflected on the profound impact FHS has had on her, thanking her peers, teachers, and all supporting staff for their unwavering support and kindness over the years.

Next came the presentation of our Upper Sixth academic and special prizes, honouring the girls’ accomplishments in academics, extracurricular activities, and their contributions to the School community. Following the Prize-Giving ceremony, students, parents, and staff gathered in the playground for a delightful drinks reception, followed by an evening of dancing in the Hall. A huge thank you to Quondam for generously sponsoring the first drink for all attendees.

The celebration marked a bittersweet farewell to a remarkable group of girls. The Francis Holland community wishes them the best of luck as they embark on their exciting futures and looks forward to welcoming them back as members of Quondam.
