The Hale Lecture Series, named after Lady Brenda Hale, former President of the UK’s Supreme Court, is FHS’s new Academic Lecture Series, aiming to spark excitement and enjoyment in learning beyond the classroom. The lecture series runs throughout the academic year, with one lecture every half term.
On Wednesday 7 December, the School will welcome Gina Martin to FHS for the second lecture in the series. Gina Martin is an advocate for creating change in communities for equal rights. She led a national campaign to make upskirting illegal and changed the English and Welsh law by creating the Voyeurism Act.
Parents and alumni are invited to join us either in person at FHS or via Zoom for the occasion. The registration details for both options can be accessed by scanning the QR codes below, or by clicking on the registration link here for School (instead of inputting a year group on the form, write alumna) or here for Zoom.
The purpose of the programme is to provide a balance and breadth of learning, and to complement the depth and specialisms in the curriculum. More information about the Hale Lectures is available here.
